Topic: The metropolitan Kansas City region is poised for a system change in landfill diversion of solid waste. Accomplishments of the past have mostly focused on expanding recycling among residents, particularly single family. Significant reduction was achieved with the addition of Habitat Re-Store and Ripple Glass in the last 25 years. What are the emerging opportunities in our region, contributing to a circular economy and attainment of zero waste goals? Get the inside scoop on poop and other waste streams that are likely to produce energy, grow food, or become building materials. Dr. Dianna Bryant, MARC Solid Waste Program Manager will be here to talk trash and answer your dirty questions.
