Honeywell – Environmental Compliance Professional
Key responsibilities for this position include:
- Assists in the development of activities and programs directed toward achieving or improving environmental compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provides regulatory interpretation as an SME to HS&E managers and line management to achieve compliance.
- Reviews plant facilities, equipment, materials, and work practices to maintain compliance or provide direction to achieve environmental compliance.
- Confidently interrupt current and pending regulations.
- Works with multiple discipline teams to determine and implement improvements.
- Drafts and/or reviews permits, regulatory notifications, periodic reports and records, and best management plans.
- Investigates incidents to determine causes and recommends action to prevent recurrence.
- Advises and supports plant supervision in the effective implementation of environmental requirements.
- Participates in development and implementation of environmental management systems, emission tracking systems, emergency preparedness, risk assessments and related programs.
- Supports all disciplines of the HS&E department by participating in specialized projects.
- Works independently to develop or maintain environmental programs.
You Must Have:
- 5 or more years of experience in Environmental Compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or a related discipline.
- United States citizen
